Invest in Good Headphones and Love Music

Music was once a commodity that you were so proud that you owned. You would actually go to a town or city just to visit a record store where you would buy a few records. Music of course became much less of a commodity when you could download an artist’s entire discography in less than a minute. You would have thought that this would change how we consume music. Perhaps unlike previous years where it has been ownership of the record that was most important it would finally become about listening to the record. But the opposite thing has seem to happened. People seem to care less about music than they did when they had to spend so much money to acquire it. You can see this in how much money people are now spending on music, but also in terms of how people are not having so much respect for their music.
The fact is that even if you don’t earn as much money as someone who plays the stock market courtesy of someone like Galvan Research, you can still actually afford to spend money on something that allows you to really enjoy the music that you own. The worst thing about modern music listening is the terrible quality of the machines people use to listen to music — they use their phones, their laptops speakers, or cheap iPod speakers. It’s just not good enough. I recommend you buy some quality headphones in order to help yourself really rediscover what quality music is all about.
